Venue: Geisha is located on the top floor of Nana Plaza, in the far corner on the side of the complex leading toward Butterflies, essentially between the small On Top bar and the staircase down to the second floor. It is also one of the largest Go Go Bars in the entire complex. The façade and entrance have a vaguely Japanese theme, as the name suggests, and even today you will sometimes see some of the girls standing outside dressed in Yukata-style outfits, which makes the place fairly easy to recognize as you walk along the balcony. Once inside, the amount of space is immediately noticeable. The venue is built around a large central stage, with plenty of seating, sofas, and stools arranged around the entire perimeter. The tiered seating makes good use of the height of the room, so even when the place is busy you can usually still find a decent seat without being packed too tightly against the person next to you. That is a good thing, because Geisha is often quite crowded. One of its main features is the bathtub area, positioned to one side of the stage and surrounded by around a dozen seats. Girls take turns performing nude in the water and foam, and the interaction with customers is much more direct than around the main stage. If this is the kind of evening you are looking for, the seats around the bathtub are the ones to aim for. The girls working in that area are often very playful and, when there is good chemistry and they are comfortable with it, they may allow some fairly risqué interaction with customers who leave a small tip. There is no need to wave 1,000 Baht notes around like a Saudi oil tycoon: even the usual 20 Baht notes handed over one at a time are part of the game and are often enough to make the interaction considerably livelier. For that reason, it can be useful to keep a few small-denomination notes in your pocket if you plan to spend part of the evening near the bathtub. With a group of friends, a few beers, and a small stack of 20 Baht notes, it can easily turn into one of those situations where you spend half an hour joking around and laughing like idiots without even noticing the time passing. That said, taking part in the “aquatic circus” is by no means compulsory. If you would rather sit back and watch the stage in peace, there are plenty of seats away from the bathtub, and the overall atmosphere still feels very much like that of a large traditional Go Go Bar.
Girls: In my opinion, the line-up is one of Geisha’s main strengths. After several visits, I would say that it is generally good in terms of both quantity and quality. There are plenty of girls, and many of them are usually attractive, so finding at least two or three who catch your eye is rarely difficult. Of course, it always depends on personal taste and on the day. Nana Plaza is not an Amazon warehouse where the stock stays exactly the same for six months: the girls change, some are on holiday, others have already been barfined, some move to another venue, and the girl who looked like the new queen of the stage the week before may not even show up the next evening. That said, Geisha generally seems more consistent to me than quite a few of its competitors. One of the main differences compared with cheaper or more hit-and-miss venues is simply the large number of girls working there. If one does not appeal to you, another comes along, then another after that, without the feeling you sometimes get in a small Go Go Bar where, once you have ruled out the first five, you have practically reached the end of the catalogue. The level of interaction is good as well. Many of the girls are fairly active around the room and will come over for a drink and a bit of company between their turns on stage. Even the waitresses joke around, try to get customers involved, and help keep the atmosphere lively. Of course, some people may find that amount of attention a little too much if they simply want to sit quietly with a beer, but personally, in a Go Go Bar I would much rather see girls interacting with customers than thirty statues staring at their phones waiting for the end of their shift.
Another interesting point is that a good part of the staff came over from Butterflies some time ago, and knowing that venue, I am not surprised that Geisha runs fairly well from an organizational point of view. It has that same ability to manage a large Go Go Bar with plenty of girls, a lot of customers, and staff constantly moving around the room without making the whole place feel chaotic. The girls are generally happy to interact with customers: some are more laid-back, others are much more entertaining, and those working around the bathtub area often fall into the second category. It works perfectly well for a simple “watch and drink” kind of evening, but in my opinion the place is more enjoyable if you go in ready to have a bit of fun and let yourself get involved. Then again, the same could probably be said of most Go Go Bars.
Prices: Drink prices are broadly in line with the usual range for the larger Go Go Bars in Nana Plaza, while Lady Drinks are slightly more expensive than average, at around 240 Baht. For barfine, Short Time, and Long Time, however, I would avoid quoting a fixed figure as if there were an official, unchanging price list, because the amount can vary depending on the girl and the situation. As a general reference for Nana Plaza in 2026, barfine typically ranges from around 800 to 1,200 Baht, while girls generally ask around 3,000–4,000 Baht for Short Time and 5,000–7,000 Baht for Long Time, with the inevitable exceptions in both directions. At Geisha, the more sought-after girls can easily fall toward the upper end of those ranges. In any case, the universal rule still applies: ask first, and only pay once you are clear about exactly what you are paying for.
Opening hours: Approximately every day from 7:00 / 8:00 PM until 2:00 AM. Personally, though, I consider around 10:00 PM a more sensible time to start making the rounds, unless your intention is to take someone back to your room straight away rather than spend the evening hopping between bars and ending the night in private later on.
Restaurant/Bar: A classic Go Go Bar menu with beers, Tequila, Rum, Whiskey, Long Drinks, and the usual selection. Regular drink prices are broadly in line with the competition, while, as mentioned, Lady Drinks at around 240 Baht are slightly above the Nana Plaza average.
Note: Geisha in its current form has become one of the most prominent Go Go Bars on the top floor of Nana Plaza. While I would not personally crown it the absolute best venue—because, realistically, there is no single place that is better than all the others—I do think it offers above-average consistency and overall quality. It is one of those places that is rarely completely disappointing. Some nights may be less exciting than others, but there are usually enough girls, enough customers, and enough activity to create a lively atmosphere without necessarily reaching the full-on Saturday-night chaos of Billboard. The venue has also gone through a few recent changes. In July 2025, it closed for about a week for renovation work, initially triggering the usual balcony gossip that it had shut down for good. A few days later it reopened as normal, and the visual changes turned out to be fairly minor.
In the meantime, the management seems to have become much more established, and the fact that part of the staff came over from Butterflies a few years ago probably helps reinforce the impression of a well-organized venue that is used to handling large numbers. Overall, Geisha does a good job of managing a large number of girls and a constant flow of customers while keeping everything under control and providing an enjoyable experience for guests. It is definitely one of those places where you can tell the people behind it are not exactly a bunch of amateurs who showed up yesterday with four stools and a crate of Chang.
For me, what really sets Geisha apart from many other venues is the combination of a large line-up, the bathtub area, and a well-designed tiered seating layout. If you simply want to choose a girl to barfine, there is plenty to choose from and the average level of attractiveness is good. If, on the other hand, you just want to spend an hour there without necessarily taking anyone out of the bar, the bathtub area can easily become the main focus of the evening. Sitting right in front of it, especially with friends and a few 20 Baht notes to tip the more entertaining girls, it is easy for things to turn into some touching, rubbing, and playful risqué interaction that makes a simple drink a lot more lively.
Of course, leaving a tip does not automatically give anyone the right to put their hands on someone. It depends on the girl, what she is comfortable with at that moment, and the kind of interaction that develops. But when the flirting is mutual, the girls in the bathtub area are often much more uninhibited than those simply walking around on stage, not least because they are completely nude. That is probably one of the reasons why this area is almost always among the busiest parts of the venue. With a group of friends, it can become even more playful and chaotic: people joke around, pass the 20 Baht notes back and forth, the girls interact with the whole group, and before you know it, what was supposed to be one quick beer has turned into an hour. On the other hand, anyone who does not like being drawn into the action and would rather sit back and watch may find it all a little too lively. In that case, simply avoid the front row by the bathtub and choose one of the many seats around the main stage instead.
In short: In my opinion, Geisha is one of those Go Go Bars that should almost automatically be included in any serious tour of Nana Plaza. I would not crown it the single best venue in the complex, because Nana Plaza has several large, high-quality competitors and, more importantly, the idea of what is “best” changes completely depending on what you are looking for. What Geisha does well is bring several things together in the right way: it is big, usually busy, well managed, has plenty of girls, and the line-up is generally good, with more than enough attractive girls to choose from. On the right night, it is probably one of the most entertaining corners of Nana Plaza for this kind of experience. I have personally visited several times, and my overall impression is of a well-established, well-organized venue that is almost always lively enough to be enjoyable. It may not be the most beautiful or spectacular Go Go Bar in Nana Plaza, but when you consider its size, the number of girls, the management, and the atmosphere together, it definitely remains one of the major players in the complex.
