Venue: The Colosseum in Augsburg, also known to regulars as ColA, remains one of the most distinctive Sauna Clubs in southern Germany. The venue is very large, around 2,500 m², with a huge central open space decorated in an ancient Roman style. At the center is the swimming pool and the characteristic spiral staircase, surrounded by the bar, relaxation areas, and wellness area with three saunas, a whirlpool, and the pool. The old cinema room (Kino) no longer exists, while professional massages are still available for an additional fee. On the upper floors there are also rooms where guests can spend some private time with the girls. The large main hall is probably the part that best represents the Colosseum. When you walk in, it feels almost more like a large spa than a traditional FKK club, with a pool, loungers, plenty of space, and Roman-style décor—with the not insignificant difference that young, completely nude prostitutes can be seen around the venue.
Girls: On average, the numbers have remained more or less in line with the club’s usual levels over the past few years, with around 20 girls present, naturally varying depending on the day and time. Most of the girls still come from Eastern Europe, with other nationalities appearing on a rotating basis, while the average level of attractiveness is generally good but, as always, depends quite a lot on the day. The real distinctive feature of the Colosseum, however, remains the girls’ behavior: when no one approaches them, they generally keep to themselves and hardly ever bother anyone. At most, you might get a smile, a wink, or a greeting; if you approach them, of course, they start talking and the situation changes immediately. There is none of the constant commercial approach you find in many other clubs, where sitting down for five minutes is enough to be bombarded with offers. At ColA, you are the one who has to make the first move, and this makes it possible to eat, drink, spend time in the pool, or simply relax without any pressure. Naturally, very shy people may find this a little more difficult, because passively waiting for a girl to come over is not the best strategy here. The girls are normally completely nude, with the exception of Wednesdays, which are dedicated to lingerie, a tradition that was already in place before the change of management.
Prices: Standard admission is €60, but there are several discounted rates: Monday Deal for €55, Business Rate for €40 during certain hours from Monday through Friday, and Late Night for €46 for late-evening entry. For frequent visitors to the venue, multi-entry passes are also available: 3 entries for 165€, 5 entries for 260€, and 10 entries for 495€. The price includes use of the wellness facilities, towels, soft drinks, coffee, and food; alcoholic beverages and energy drinks, however, are charged separately. As for the girls, there is no single rate set by the Venue: price, duration, and services are agreed upon directly with the girl. As a reference, a half-hour in a room starts at 80€, which can easily reach around 100€ with some girls, so it’s always best to clarify everything before going up to the room. Restaurant/Bar: Food is still included in the entrance fee and has been relaunched under the new management. During the week, different menus are offered depending on the day, including Asian and German cuisine, pizza, home-style dishes, and Bavarian specialties, with varying options at the weekend. Soft drinks and coffee are included, while alcoholic drinks and energy drinks are charged separately. Nothing gourmet, of course, but for anyone planning to spend several hours in the club without going out to eat, the service is more than sufficient and fits well with the overall setup of the venue.
Note: Also known as “ColA” (Colosseum Augsburg), the club is located in Augsburg, about an hour’s drive from Munich. For long-time Italian punters, it is a name that needs little introduction. Before the rise of the Austrian clubs that are easier to reach from Italy, namely Andiamo in Villach and later the nearby Wellcum, as well as the now-defunct Marina Sauna Club in Slovenia—the Colosseum was in fact the German FKK Sauna Club most frequently visited by Italians, as well as the closest and one of the few that was widely known outside Germany at the time. It is no coincidence that it was the first FKK visited by the Editor and his Traveling Friends, back in 2007.

Opened on February 4, 2004, it was one of the Sauna Clubs that helped make this type of venue popular in Germany and, after more than twenty years in business, it can now be considered one of the cornerstones of the old-school FKK scene. The beginning of 2026, however, was rather eventful, with company-related problems, a brief closure, and a subsequent change of management. The club then reopened normally on February 4, 2026, curiously enough on the day of its twenty-second anniversary. At the end of April 2026 there was another change of management, and on May 2 the official reopening party was held. This was followed by a new website, new prices, new opening hours, and greater emphasis on the wellness side and on food service, to the point that today it is also presented as Colosseum Wellnessoase. Fortunately, the change of management did not radically alter its identity. And it is precisely this continuity that makes the place interesting. In a scene where many German Sauna Clubs have gradually introduced nightclub elements, events, entertainment, and increasingly commercial formats, ColA has remained largely faithful to its original concept: a pure, quiet FKK without too many frills. It has also remained one of the few clubs where the girls are normally completely nude, in keeping with the classic tradition of German FKK clubs. The only exception is the lingerie day, a feature that was not introduced by the new management but had already been part of ColA’s routine for some time.
In short, after more than twenty years, the Colosseum in Augsburg is still very much the ColA: a historic club that has gone through changes of management, price increases, and inevitable updates without losing its original character. Not recommended for the very shy, but also not for those looking for noise, music, entertainment, or other distractions between one room and the next. Highly recommended instead for anyone looking for peace and relaxation, along with a good line-up of girls to spend some quality time with.
