Venue: KOKORO is located in one of the most authentically Japanese neighborhoods of Bangkok, just 900 meters from Asok BTS station and 700 meters from the well-known Soi Cowboy. It sits on the quiet side street Soi 23 (Prasan Mit Alley, if you’re searching on Maps), where Secret Kiss is also located, and about 200 meters before that you’ll find AYA Massage.
From the outside, you can notice two large windows displaying the unmistakable logo on a soft pink background with heart motifs (“Kokoro”, in Japanese こころ, literally means Heart, in a romantic rather than anatomical sense). In the center there’s a glass entrance door, while the interior is cleverly concealed by curtains that allow light to filter through while keeping what happens inside private.
After ringing the bell, guests are welcomed into the reception area — essentially a fairly spacious waiting room where one can sit on one of the sofas while choosing the available services and staff. The environment is cool, clean, and well-maintained; nothing extraordinary, but there’s a clear attention to detail: the lighting is soft enough to be comfortable yet bright enough to see the staff clearly when they come out to greet customers. Background music is pleasant, and the decor, at times a bit kitsch, carries that vaguely Japanese touch one might expect from a Nuru-style massage center called Kokoro.
Next to the reception there’s a staircase and a restroom that guests can use before going upstairs. The rooms each have a different theme and are divided into two categories: Standard Rooms and VIP Rooms. The difference between the two lies mainly in the presence of a jacuzzi and a bit of extra space in the VIP ones. All rooms feature a shower, a mat, a special massage chair, and a bed.
The themed rooms can also be paired with different outfits that the staff can wear upon request (with a small additional charge). Another specialty of Kokoro is the so-called AV massage — in Japan, the acronym “AV” can stand for either “Adult Video” or “Anime Video.” In this context, it refers to a kind of cosplay-style themed massage where the staff play specific roles wearing corresponding costumes. This concept originates from Japanese Hentai culture and is likely included on the menu mainly to appeal to the many Japanese customers in the area.

In conclusion, Kokoro is an excellent massage center, with a very good line-up of staff, offering authentic Japanese-style Nuru at Thai prices. It is certainly not the cheapest massage in the city, but overall the costs are reasonable considering the quality of the venue and the service provided. Its relative proximity to Asok BTS station (about a ten-minute walk away from Sukhumvit traffic) makes it convenient to reach. The opening hours, from late morning until midnight, and the possibility to book your preferred staff member in advance allow you to enjoy the experience without any surprises at a time that suits you.
It’s hard to find any negative points; the only one might be that you’ll want to come back too often. While it’s true that a city like Bangkok offers endless options for massages, centers with the same level of quality as Kokoro at similar prices are rare.
So, if you enjoy Japanese-themed experiences and want to be pampered in a pleasant and private environment, Kokoro is the right place.
