DYNASTY GRANDE HOTEL

Location: Located in Sukhumvit 6 Alley, in Bangkok’s most famous red-light district, the street where the Hotel is located, commonly referred to as Soi 6 is a quiet side street that connects Soi 4 (Soi Nana) to the BTS Nana Station on Sukhumvit Road, and reaches Soi 8 via a pedestrian walkway. Although it is defiladed just enough to enjoy some tranquility, the hotel is Only 3 minutes from Skytrain station, 5 minutes from Nana Plaza, 3 minutes from Soi 8, and cross Sukhumvit Road via the elevated station or one of the many overpasses to the other side of the district i.e. Soi 7, 7/1, Soi 11 etc. where a myriad of Bars and other Bangkok nightlife Venues are concentrated. Basically, within a radius of a few hundred meters That is, a few minutes’ walk, you can find literally anything, from restaurants to bars, as well as massage parlors and bj bars, laundromats, pharmacies, street food, and all kinds of stores, including some convenient Seven Eleven including one in the next small street 20 meters away.

Room: The rooms are not particularly luxurious but are quite spacious starting from 30 m², the bed is large and comfortable with 4 pillows as standard, the rooms are well air-conditioned and soundproofed and furnished sensibly, a desk station with office chair, sofa with small table, TV, safe, refrigerator and closet, let’s say there is no shortage of places to rest and store things. The rooms are basically divided into two types: those with balconies and those without. In the Balcony rooms, the outdoor space is large enough and equipped with two chairs and a small table, the only downside is the limited view, in fact you can only see the other wing of the hotel in the building across the street, which, however, is at a fair distance since there is the large pool in between.

Bathroom: The bathroom is definitely spacious, with a modern and simple style but equipped with everything you need: bathtub, shower, hairdryer, and so on.

Amenities: Large pool that is never crowded, a fully equipped gym, 24/7 Front Desk, double elevators, one for each “wing” of the hotel. Wi-Fi works well but at certain times remains unavailable for several minutes(presumably it is restarted at regular intervals to lighten the load). There is also laundry service (but there are several cheaper ones nearby, including a coin-operated one in the plaza from where you enter soi 8). The hotel has no restaurant and no Breakfast service is available, but there is a coffee machine in the lobby and there are tables outside. Two bottles of water per day are always included directly in the room.

Cleaning: The cleaning staff is active from early morning until 4 PM and beyond. Always polite and efficient, the cleaning personnel do a good job. Toilet paper and paper tissues are always available in the bathroom. Towels and linens are changed daily. Everything is kept tidy and smells fresh.

Prices: Balcony rooms range from about 65 euros in low season up to 85 euros in high season, with slightly higher rates during holiday periods. Rooms without a balcony typically cost around 10 euros less. In any case, with periodic offers on Agoda, it’s possible to save a lot, so it’s advisable to have an account and use their app, where special deals are often available.

Notes: There is no restaurant or dining room and therefore no Breakfast either, but there is a coffee machine next to the front desk and around the hotel you can find a little bit of everything(even at Seven Eleven for less refined palates). Check In and Check Out are quick, check in time is officially 2 pm, but if you arrive early and the room is already available there will be no unnecessary waiting. A security deposit of 1,000 Baht (about 25 euros) is required at check in and is returned at check out. The pool is located on the third floor in the middle of the two main buildings of the facility, large though not scenic, towels/towels are always available and smoking is allowed in the pool area. The rooms with Balcony were completely renovated in the summer of 2024. The Dynasty Grande is a Guest-Friendly Hotel, this means that should you wish to bring a girl to your room there will be no additional charge, it is sufficient for the guest to leave their ID at the front desk for obvious security reasons, in fact when they leave the room without you you will receive a call to your room from the front desk to confirm that everything is okay. Of course to avoid any misunderstandings it is always necessary to enter “2 adults” as the number of guests when booking on AGODA, although this is generally the default option for rooms with double beds and the price does not change.

In essence, the Dynasty Grande(not to be confused with the nearby and more modest and Dynasty Inn on soi 4) is the perfect hotel for those looking for the convenience of a “strategic” location close to everything but quiet, a good standard of accommodations without spending a fortune, and the comfort of a true 4 Star hotel. Recommended especially for the rooms with balconies, but also for the large pool, cleanliness and efficient staff. On the same street are two other Hotels of equal standard, the Citrus Suites practically adjacent, and the ParkRoyal Suites Bangkok just across the street. Both good alternatives (and of course Guest-Friendly like almost all hotels in the area) the former has a nice pool with rooftop bar but no rooms with balconies, while the ParkRoyal offers real apartments starting at 42 m² but with significantly higher prices. Both, however, have breakfast service, which for the more habitual can make all the difference.
