Venue: The sauna club FKK Amari is located in an industrial area like most German sauna clubs. From the outside it is a large shed, the same one that formerly housed the Römerbad in Cologne and before that the Salon Rouge, but spruced up and decorated with lights and the Venue logo on the facade. Inside, the environment is relatively spacious; after the reception area are the locker rooms and then it’s on to a glitzy location, divani silver-colored rooms, soft lighting and walls decorated with mirrors and giant screens with images and videos that give a very striking overall effect, the interior design is neat and has an almost disco-like atmosphere but only in appearance. There is of course the bar, smoking area, and upstairs where the 14 rooms are also located, also luxurious looking if almost tacky in some details. Very nice is the spa area with a large sauna, hammam and massage service (for a fee) as well as a pleasant relaxation area with luxurious and comfortable loungers, nice decorations and TV on the fireplace. Not very large, but definitely nice and cozy, is the “green” themed dining room where the buffet is located. To top it all off there is also a decent outdoor.
Girls: about 15 on average. The provenance seems to be quite varied, not only Romanians then, but at least a couple of Bulgarians and an Albanian from Samya, a Turkish and one from some Arab country were also spotted, a couple of Hungarians, a Moldavian self-styled Russian, even a Moroccan, and of course the ever-present draculines.
Prices: Entrance 40€ with soft drinks included (On one’s birthday, entrance is free by presenting ID). Standard half-hour 60€ (but it’s all at the discretion of the girls, some start at 80, others 100) – Extras to be agreed upon at the time with the Girls.
Opening hours: Monday 16:00-03:00, Tuesday 16:00-04:00, Wednesday 16:00-04:00, Thursday 16:00-04:00, Friday 16:00-06:00, Saturday 16:00-06:00, Sunday 16:00-02:00 .
Restaurant/Bar: More than decent buffet food. Free soft drinks. Draft beer included. The rest you pay for.
Notes: What can I say about this AMARI FKK, first of all that it is located in a suburban area about a 15-minute drive from Cologne (but is also conveniently accessible by bus from the city center in about half an hour) and that the location has hosted several Venues before, the last two being the Römerbad of Cologne and before that the Salon Rouge. The venue has now been renovated, and the intention seems to be to create a fairly upscale club, both in terms of appearance and overall concept. In practice, for now, it is a nice venue with a maximum of around twenty girls, an average of fifteen, and roughly the same number of customers. Not exactly enough to get a place like this off the ground and keep it running. That said, with an entrance fee of just €40, including meals, draft beer, and soft drinks, it is not bad at all. On top of that, the girls apparently benefit from favorable rates for working at AMARI FKK, which should not be underestimated and helps attract new girls willing to try at least one shift. There was quite a bit of hype before the opening, but afterward, many people seemed to forget about it. Perhaps they were confused by misleading and vague information about the club, made even worse by the terrible initial handling of prices during the free-entry promotional period. Nevertheless, it has everything it needs to become a good Trombodromo, and although the line-up of girls is fairly average, the variety of nationalities is definitely a plus (hopefully it will not turn into yet another Romanian-dominated stronghold). Competition is fierce, however, and after an initial settling-in period, the club seems to have found its own identity. So there are good reasons to give this decent Sauna Club a visit whenever you happen to be in Cologne.
In Substance: At the moment I would say it is worth a visit for the ambiance and variety of young ladies, even considering the fairly low costs compared to the competition and an all-inclusive total offer regardless of the number of Girls present. It just remains to be seen how it will perform during the winter season.
As of January 2026, AMARI FKK permanently ceased operating as a Sauna Club with professional working girls and was converted into a reservation-only swingers’ club. It should therefore be considered closed.
