Complete Guide to the best Sukhumvit Districts: Go-Go Bars, Massage Parlors, and Other Venues. Strategic Hotels Near Nana, Asok, and Phrom Phong BTS Stations.

Indicatively, the target area for a sex and adult entertainment vacation is that which includes the BTS (Bangkok mass Transit Sistem i.e., the elevated train) stations of Nana, Asok and Phrom Phong. In these two kilometers of Sukhumvit Road and related side streets (Soi) are most of the nightclubs and adult entertainment such as Go Go Bars, Erotic Massage, BJ Bars and more. We can therefore divide this area into three zones with related Soi, each with its own characteristics:

NANA, the beating heart of Bangkok’s nightlife:

⇒ Soi 4:On this street (also called Soi Nana) it is possible to find everything; during the day it is relatively quiet, but there are many bars that stay open late, and when at night the venues close their shutters, the fun continues along the sidewalks among plastic chairs and carts with ice-cold beers, in addition to the ubiquitous and omnipresent street food. Obviously, all this is driven by the presence of numerous workers looking for clients; in fact, along the street until sunrise, you can also find African and Vietnamese girls, in addition to the usual Thai ladies and ladyboys. The main attraction of the street is undoubtedly Nana Plaza, a closed and covered plaza where hundreds of girls can be found in dozens of Go Go Bar spread over three floors. Then there are Hillary 1 and 2 and other large bars with live music, regularly frequented by freelance workers, and among the activities not dedicated to meeting workers, but worth noting, right in front of Nana Plaza there is Hooters, a restaurant/bar of the well-known American chain with lively waitresses in sexy shorts and tight tops.

HOTEL Soi 4:

⇒ Soi 6: A secondary and quiet street that connects Soi 4 to the BTS Nana station on Sukhumvit Road, and reaches Soi 8 via a pedestrian passage located between two BJ Bars/Pump Stations, namely Kasalong and Lolitas. There are not many noteworthy venues on the street, but besides the three bars adjacent to the corner with Soi 4, further along a small side street there is Analisa Massage, a massage center with Happy Ending offering interesting services. – The strong point of Soi 6 remains its location, set apart from the chaos but just a stone’s throw from the entertainments of Nana Plaza, the BTS, Soi 8, and practically opposite Soi 7/1 on the other side of Sukhumvit.

HOTEL Soi 6:

⇒ Soi 8: It is a quieter street but in an excellent location, as it is connected both to Sukhumvit Road, with BTS Nana station just a few steps away, and to Soi 6, from which you can reach Soi 4 directly at the point where the interesting activities begin. In Soi 8 there are few bars with girls, but there are some very good small restaurants and several “normal” bars, in addition to numerous street food carts for those who enjoy it. For those looking for excellent food at popular prices without caring about the environment, there is Pantaree, a small restaurant frequented mainly by Thais and Koreans, hidden in the first alley on the left, passing among the street food carts. – Det5, on the other hand, is a restaurant with mostly Western clientele but offers excellent dishes at reasonable prices and an informal environment in a pleasant garden surrounded by fans (also good for smokers as smoking is allowed in the outdoor area). – Monsoon is a simple but nice bar/restaurant, open from the morning, a good place if you want to have breakfast with a girl after a night of revelry. – Then there is Vesuvio pizzeria in the first side street on the right, and Otto pizzeria in the second side street a little further ahead, the same where the historic BJ bar Lolitas is located, as well as the pedestrian passage to Soi 6.

HOTEL Soi 8:

⇒ Soi 10: It is located almost halfway between the BTS stations of Nana and Asok and ideally marks the boundary between the two areas (together with Soi 15 on the other side of Sukhumvit). The only noteworthy venues on this street are Romance Nuru Massage, which as the name suggests is a massage center (opened at the beginning of 2025 and obviously Full Service), and Check In Bar, which is a famous and notorious ladyboy bar with rooms on the upper floors, probably the most well-known in the city despite its secluded location in the alley parallel to Sukhumvit Road, less than 50 meters to the left when entering from Sukhumvit Road.

HOTEL Soi 10:

⇒ Soi 3 and Soi 5: These are the streets that delimit the so-called “Arab Zone,” where for non-Middle Easterners there isn’t much of interest, but in the first stretch of Soi 5 (the quieter of the two) there are at least a couple of good hotels in a good location, 200–300 meters from Nana Plaza and the BTS Nana station, and consequently just a few minutes’ walk from Soi 11, Soi 8, and everything in between.

HOTEL Soi 3 and Soi 5:

⇒ Soi 7: On this primarily residential street, about fifty meters from Sukhumvit Road and the stairs leading to the BTS Nana, we find the bar complex called 7 Center Point, which is in fact an aggregation that includes about fifteen Beer Bars, almost all adjacent to each other, and a small internal square (where there is a hidden pedestrian passage that leads directly among the tables of Nana Sea Food, the well-known seafood restaurant overlooking Sukhumvit). Besides this point of interest, there is only Key Premier, an interesting and not inexpensive hotel but in a good location, 200 meters from the beginning of the street.

HOTEL Soi 7:

⇒ Soi 7/1: Without a doubt one of the most “sinful” streets in the area, here there are various bars with girls such as Orange Bar and the new Victoria, then we find at least a couple of BJ Bars including the historic Wood Bar and Magic Table, one of the few BJ bars that still fully functions as a nightspot as well as a blowjob bar, and there are others that offer various services in the upstairs rooms, from massages to full service. The atmosphere of the street is definitely over the top and in full “red light district” style, but there are also more normal venues such as Down Under Bar & Grill, a small pub where you can eat good grilled shrimp and many other tasty dishes. Or the Green Room, a small somewhat offbeat venue, with live music, a bar, a few tables to eat and drink, and a mezzanine with a pool table. The hotels on this street are certainly not top-notch, but the location is good, and for those without particular requirements it can be a valid option to immerse oneself in the nightlife, just a few steps from the BTS, and without spending too much.

HOTEL Soi 7/1:

⇒ Soi 9: Basically, it is the “back street” of Soi 7/1. Also called “the urinal” because of the unpleasant smell it often gives off, this little alley has nothing of interest, but for those who know the right door there is a small shabby bar/karaoke where several bar girls meet with their friends and some more experienced clients.

HOTEL: N.D.

⇒ Soi 11: Famous for its nightlife, it hosts several restaurants, pubs, and fast food places, but also trendy clubs and discos, so at sunset it is very popular with younger travelers and those less interested in sex workers. However, there are some venues such as Hillary 3 and Hillary 11, Lusty Lady, Check In Bar 2, DragonHeart Massage, and others, which can be interesting even for those looking for easy companionship. One of the characteristics of Soi 11 is that it hosts many hotels and some higher-end condos, but also hostels and budget hotels, so there is accommodation for every pocket. Its location near BTS Nana and practically opposite Soi 8 on the other side of Sukhumvit, in addition to being halfway between Nana Plaza and BTS Asok, makes this soi quite versatile and one of the favorites for those who do not focus exclusively on the Go Go bars of Nana Plaza as a “hunting ground” to find pleasant company.

HOTEL Soi 11:

⇒ Soi 11/1: A 150-meter-long little street branching off from Soi 11 and reaching Sukhumvit Road, practically no traffic, a serious massage center, a couple of classic massages (not explicit but with the possibility of a happy ending), some Japanese and Indian restaurants, a handful of budget hotels, and Krua Khun Puk, a very popular restaurant that is always open, 24 hours a day, all year round. This, together with the nearby Orange Bar, which usually does not close before dawn and often hosts girls from other bars after closing time, largely contributes to making the small Soi 11/1 popular even among the most dedicated night-owl travelers.

HOTEL Soi 11/1:

⇒ Soi 13: A one-kilometer-long street that in the first 300 meters is relatively lively, as there are various venues, a billiard hall, two Seven Eleven stores, some serious massage centers and others less serious (but none explicit regarding happy endings), a pub, an Indian restaurant, a rather large brewery, a couple of “sports bars,” and other services such as laundries and barbers. The rest of the street is a simple, rather bare residential area with no particular attractions. In the initial part of Soi 13 there are two completely different hotels: the first is Hyatt Regency, a 40-story hotel that includes clubs and luxury restaurants in the lower building, through which it is directly connected to the elevated BTS Nana walkway, a triumph of luxury and modernity surrounded by a garden avenue accessible both from Sukhumvit and from Soi 13; the other is the Miami, a vintage-style hotel spread over three floors with terraces and some rooms overlooking the internal courtyard on the ground floor where the pool is located, generally very interesting aesthetically, a bit less so practically. It remains an excellent location, being very close to BTS Nana and just over 600 meters from both Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy, and not for nothing it is considered the last street of the Nana area together with Soi 10, a little further ahead on the opposite side of Sukhumvit.

HOTEL Soi 13:

ASOK, the quieter alternative for less night owls:

⇒ Soi 15: It is similar to Soi 13, and together they represent the ideal boundary line between the Asok and Nana districts. It does not offer any particular attractions in terms of entertainment and venues; there are a couple of classic massage parlors facing the street, a bar, an Irish pub, and a spa with an adjacent restaurant, both evidently catering to Koreans. The advantage of Soi 15 is that it is 30 meters from Thermae and from the pedestrian passage that crosses Sukhumvit in front of Soi 10, so technically within a 100-meter radius there are plenty of girls, ladyboys, and a more than decent full-service massage center. The BTS Asok station is about 250 meters from the three hotels (covering three different price ranges) located in the very first stretch of the street, a very convenient location. Soi Cowboy, with its Go Go bars and venues such as Penny Black (bar and nightclub), is 500 meters away, and for lovers of “Teen Massage Full Service,” there are some in Soi 19 just 400 meters away, as well as BTS Nana and the surrounding streets.

HOTEL Soi 15:

⇒ Soi 17: A negligible little alley; there is a McDonald’s and a supermarket at the corner with Sukhumvit. Other than that, the only noteworthy thing is that it can be used as a shortcut to save 50 meters if you need to go to Soi 19, as it is connected.

HOTEL Soi 17: N.D.

⇒ Soi 19: Directly connected to BTS Asok and the Terminal 21 shopping mall. As for “adult” entertainment, there is not much on this street except for some massage parlors and an alley where there are three “Teen Massage” venues, namely Picasso, Chawan, and the well-established Mai Chan No Ouchi. However, it is not one of the most suitable streets to stay on, as there are no noteworthy or particularly cheap hotels, except for The Key, which has a good value-for-money ratio and is fairly close to Sukhumvit.

HOTEL Soi 19:

⇒ Soi 21: Also called Asok Montri Road, it is a large, very busy street, but the only noteworthy thing, besides its proximity to BTS Asok, is the access to Soi Cowboy. There is not much else to say.

HOTEL Soi 21:

⇒ Soi 23: A lively street, with many venues of all kinds, and in its various branches it hosts several excellent places such as Kokoro, Aya Massage, and Secret Kiss. It is not one of the best streets to stay on, as the few decent hotels are quite far from BTS Asok beyond the large intersection. It could still be an alternative for those who prefer to spend the evenings in Soi Cowboy, with which it is connected.

HOTEL Soi 23:

(Soi 25, 27, and 29 are negligible and too far from both BTS stations to be considered part of either area in this context.)

⇒ Soi 12: Called Suk Chai Alley, it, together with Soi 10, marks the boundary of the Korean district; it is practically the back of the so-called Korean Town and is a negligible street for everything else.

HOTEL Soi 12: None recommended

⇒ Soi 14: A residential and very quiet street that starts right below BTS Asok station; there are no particular venues, only a small budget restaurant at the beginning of the street, but there are some hotels in an interesting location for traveling by skytrain and for those who prefer the nightlife of Soi Cowboy over that of Nana Plaza and its surroundings.

HOTEL Soi 14:

⇒ Soi 16: The other main street that forms the Asok intersection, as well as the last useful one on the even-numbered side of Sukhumvit in this area. In fact, the name of the street is Ratchadaphisek Road, while Soi 16 is a branch running parallel to it, but for convenience the first stretch of this street is commonly referred to as Soi 16. Not particularly convenient compared to others, but there are a couple of hotels not far from the BTS and Soi Cowboy.

HOTEL Soi 16:

⇒ Soi 18: It is a fairly useless street; there are a couple of massage centers, one of which is practically at the end of the street, and a couple of decent hotels, but they are more than 500 meters from the Skytrain station and just as far from Soi Cowboy. This is also the last soi within 400 meters of BTS Asok, and marks the imaginary boundary for this area.

HOTEL Soi 18: None recommended

(Soi 20 has a small branch connected to Sukhumvit that hosts several interesting massage parlors, but it is in an inconvenient location from both BTS stations to be considered part of one of the defined areas. There are still some luxury hotels (visible on the map), but none in a location suitable according to the parameters of this guide.)

PHROM PHONG, nuru massage, bj bar, pink salon, teen massage, and everything else:

⇒ Soi 22: Although it is almost equidistant (about 500 meters) from BTS Asok and Phrom Phong stations, it is usually considered part of the latter area because it is close to Soi 33 and 31, which together with it gather a good portion of the most well-known and frequented Full Service Massage parlors. Adjacent to the large EmSphere shopping mall, Soi 22 is a street almost one and a half kilometers long with a fairly lively atmosphere until late at night but relatively quiet compared to the streets of Nana and surroundings; there are about ten Nuru and Teen Massage parlors, several bars, hotels, and shops of all kinds, but all activities are concentrated in the first 500 meters, after which there is nothing interesting. There are some excellent hotels, but honestly, excluding the Holiday Inn located at the corner with Sukhumvit Road, there are no valid reasons to want to stay on this street rather than others (and I speak from experience, having made this unplanned choice during my first visit to Bangkok many years ago N.D.R.).

HOTEL Soi 22:

⇒ Soi 24: The street starts just a few steps from the BTS Phrom Phong station, which in turn is connected to the two large shopping malls Emporium and EmQuartier located on opposite sides of Sukhumvit. Soi 24 can be considered a “massage street,” given that there are at least a couple of professional massage centers, as well as classic massages with Happy Ending on request, Teen Massage, Nuru, and other “Full Service” venues, totaling just over ten, all in the initial part of the street and the adjacent alley. Also within the first three hundred meters, there are a handful of excellent hotels and some shops of various kinds, as well as convenient access to the aforementioned Emporium.

HOTEL Soi 24:

⇒ Soi 26: Similar to Soi 24 but slightly set back from the BTS, here too the points of interest are all concentrated within the first 200 meters of the street. There are a couple of shops that are essentially Pump Stations/Brothels where the services offered do not include any massage but only fellatio and/or full sexual service, and then a series of good-level Erotic and Nuru Massage parlors, as well as a handful of other massages, some of which are in the adjacent parallel little street called 24/1. In addition to these, there are a few small restaurants and little else. Soi 26 is also the last interesting street of the so-called “Sukhumvit Area,” which includes the surrounding zones of Nana, Asok, and Phrom Phong, where nightlife activities and all other adult entertainment for clients seeking easy companionship, fun, transgression, sex, and relaxation are concentrated.

HOTEL Soi 26:

⇒ Soi 31: The street runs parallel to Soi 33 for 500 meters, then splits into various branches (all with the same name: Soi Sawatdi), connecting with Soi 23 and Soi 39 and reaching the Saen Saep canal almost 2 kilometers from Sukhumvit; moreover, it is connected at the end of Soi 33 by another street that intersects both. Together with Soi 22 on the other side of Sukhumvit, it marks the actual beginning of the Phrom Phong area and is about 400 meters from the BTS station of the same name. This is one of the streets with a majority of Japanese presence, which is evident from the numerous restaurants and shops with signs in Japanese; there is also an Indian restaurant and even a restaurant called “Pizza Napoli,” but these are practically the only exceptions. In Soi 31 there are several massage centers, but only two in the main initial stretch, Doki Doki and Heaven Massage. The other well-known ones are Hiso, Aries, and Glamor, located further along in the section that connects with Prasan Mit Alley, a branch of Soi 23. Overall, a fairly quiet street, but not particularly advantageous in terms of location; in fact, there is only one hotel that fully meets the parameters of this list.

HOTEL Soi 31:

⇒ Soi 33: Undoubtedly the street with the most massage centers overall, there are at least twenty for all tastes: Toro Nuru at 666Class, Dozo, Hunny Bunny, and many others on the main street, and various Princess, Hakumi, Daisy Dream, etc. in the side alleys. There are also several “regular” and cheaper massage centers, where a happy ending is still possible, even if not listed. In addition, Soi 33 hosts two of the best BJ Bars overall (actually Japanese-style Pink Salons, but we can safely call them “blowjob bars”), namely 7-Heaven and Vovo. There are also several venues such as karaoke and other clubs dedicated almost exclusively to a Japanese clientele, as well as some small restaurants, and after the first 350 meters it becomes a very quiet residential street. There are some hotels, but since they are all more than 600 meters from the BTS station, they are shown on the map but not included in this list, although there is one practically at the corner with Sukhumvit Rd. Soi 33 is always quite busy and lively until midnight, mostly with people passing through going to and from the massage centers. It is not one of the best streets to stay on, but it is certainly one of the most well-known streets among travelers and a reference point for lovers of Nuru and fellatio. Excellent for shopping or grabbing something to eat at the EmQuartier mall or taking a walk in Benchasiri Park on the other side of the street, after satisfying all other desires.

HOTEL Soi 33:

  • Gecko EYE Hotel (actually it is located on Sukhumvit Road, 300 meters from BTS Phrom Phong and just a few steps from the beginning of Soi 33)

⇒ Soi 33/1: A side street fairly busy during the day but rather dark and dull at night. It forms a horseshoe shape before rejoining Sukhumvit 60 meters ahead, next to the Villa Market supermarket. On the street there is a small hotel above an Irish pub, budget-friendly and just a few steps from the BTS, but practically without a reception at night and not very well maintained. Then there are a couple of traditional Thai massage centers, a couple of English pubs, a Brazilian restaurant/bar, a couple of Korean restaurants, one Chinese and one Mexican, and several Japanese venues including a ramen shop, bakery, bar/karaoke, and more. Basically, a little street with multicultural flavors, interesting for grabbing something to eat but negligible for everything else.

HOTEL Soi 33/1:

⇒ Soi 35: Basically a service road at the back of the shopping mall, which then becomes residential. Nothing of interest here.

HOTEL Soi 35: None recommended

⇒ Soi 37: (Sukhumvit 37 Alley) an alley mostly frequented by Japanese; there are a couple of restaurants at the beginning, two “regular” Thai massage centers, and an Erotic Massage called Stocking. Other than that, nothing particularly interesting; it connects with Soi 39 and there are a couple of relatively inexpensive hotels, only one of which is quite nice and, of course, guest-friendly. Its proximity to BTS Phrom Phong makes it interesting for those who decide to stay in this area.

HOTEL Soi 37:

⇒ Soi 39: Another very quiet, predominantly Japanese and residential street. The first 200 meters are the usual mix of shops: a 7/11, a restaurant, the classic Thai massage center with a street-facing window, hotels, mini markets, barbers, and other small businesses. A little further along, together with other shops, there is BKK Vice Nuru Massage—not the best, but interesting. Beyond this, Soi 39 doesn’t have much to offer, but it is practically at the corner of the BTS and marks the hypothetical boundary of the interesting streets in the Phrom Phong area.

HOTEL Soi 39:

Here on the map, the hotels in “strategic locations” are indicated, meaning they are close enough to the BTS station of their area and to other points of interest such as Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy, or near streets particularly interesting for nightlife, for example Soi 4 and Soi 11, and for Full Service Massages and various brothels, as in the case of Soi 33, Soi 24, and Soi 26.

The map is divided into zones, each marked with a color indicating the recommended hotels in that area. – There are also “Other Hotels” outside these zones, but still good. – Clearly bad hotels, as well as the few that are not guest-friendly, have not been included, but among those present there is something for every budget and every need. – By clicking on the hotel markers, the name appears along with a link to see details and prices on AGODA. – As for the various entertainment venues, bars, massage centers, BJ bars, and so on, you will find a direct link to the dedicated page here on TravelsForMen.com, or a brief description for those not yet reviewed.
