As the title suggests, I’m here for a bit of a casual catch-up, just to look back on this summer. In other words, I’m going to tell you a little about my own damn business while waiting for winter to arrive, and in the meantime we’ll take stock of the European situation as far as Sauna Clubs and other houses of ill repute are concerned.
First of all, for anyone who hasn’t been following my personal adventures in Bangkok, let me remind you that on the Blog you can find the travel diary from my latest trip to Thailand, split into six big “roundups”, along with a couple of additional articles written on the spot while everything was still fresh in my mind. They might make for some interesting reading, especially the one entitled “A Dangerous Girl”. I recommend it to anyone heading to the Land of Smiles for the first time, and to anyone prone to falling in love too easily. I won’t tell you anything else; go and read it if you’re curious.
On top of that, as promised, you’ll find some new review pages for a couple of Massage places, the DOZO and the QUEEN, as well as some Go Go Bars in Nana Plaza that I had never really considered before but that have recently been delivering some pretty satisfying experiences, such as the Geisha, and also the Bunny 5, which had already proven itself at the beginning of the year and has once again confirmed that it is a solid choice. I haven’t managed to complete all of them yet, but more will be coming over the next few days.
This time I didn’t visit many new massage parlors because I first wanted to revisit a few familiar ones, including the latest “reincarnation” of Madame Claude, which became Lacha869 and is now called The Pixies. But then I ended up in a few less conventional and much more involving situations that completely changed my plans. I had also received a direct invitation from the management of 8 Fantasy on Soi 8 to visit the place, but it wasn’t at the top of my list and in the end I simply didn’t have time. Still, I’m pleased to know that people in the business occasionally stumble across these pages. In fact, it isn’t the first time someone has invited me to review their establishment, and not only in Thailand. However, I have never revealed myself as the Editor and have always visited as a normal customer. That has been my policy for almost twenty years now. I could take advantage of the situation to receive special treatment or promote someone in exchange for money, but at that point the reviews would become completely useless, so I’ll keep doing things the way I always have.
Another little project that only got halfway off the ground was the one about “Budget Hotels on Soi 4”. The original idea was to test a few more of them and then write a dedicated article for anyone looking for this type of hotel, very close to Nana Plaza and at reasonable prices. But once again, because of the unexpected situations I found myself in, I had to shorten the list and ended up testing only a couple. All things considered, spending the night in these rather “folkloric” hotels was quite fun, despite the fact that I had a much better apartment just a few hundred meters away. In fact, I thought that by combining these with others I had already tested in the past, it could make for an interesting article. For now, I’ll simply add the latest reviews to the Hotels section of the website, and then, as soon as inspiration strikes, I’ll see how to put everything together.
Speaking of which, a selection of Hotels in Düsseldorf is also on the way, particularly useful for those who visit the many Saunaclubs in that area during the colder part of the year, when it becomes even more enjoyable to hide away in a bathrobe among young ladies and saunas while winter makes itself felt outside.
But to wrap things up as far as Thailand is concerned, let me remind you that I have also created a guide to using TagThai, an App designed for foreign tourists that allows you to make QR payments with Easy Pay directly from your smartphone. It certainly isn’t essential, but it is definitely useful. I didn’t know about the app myself and discovered it by chance shortly before August, when I found out that it was giving away a tourist SIM valid for 24 hours, so I decided to try it. It also offers various benefits, discounts, special deals and promotions, and I find it genuinely interesting, which is why I decided to write about it.
As for yours truly, the Editor, all I can say is that I’m suffering from a full-blown case of Thailand withdrawal. My little Thai friends keep messaging me. Some of them think I’m still in Bangkok and ask whether we’re going to meet up, while others got a proper goodbye before I left and still occasionally pop up with a hello or a goodnight message. And even though the whole thing is largely artificial, it is still a pleasant distraction that helps make the return to work and everyday life in the gloomy Italian boot a little easier to bear as it gets ready to put on its winter socks.
And since we’re talking about winter, let’s head back to the Old Continent, because over the past few months there has been some interesting movement between Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Nothing earth-shattering, but between reopenings, changes of management, renovation work, Girls moving around and prices slowly taking the elevator upward, it is worth taking stock before entering the season when Saunaclubs once again become especially tempting.
As far as Germany is concerned:
The old Acapulco Prime in Velbert had a rather eventful spring. After closing for renovations, the reopening was postponed several times, and at one point people in the scene seriously began wondering whether the new club would ever open at all. In the end, the “new” FKK Prime finally opened on July 17, 2026. Feedback from the first visitors wasn’t exactly enthusiastic. The interior changes are much less significant than the relaunch had suggested. Obviously, we’ll have to give it some time before passing judgment, since new management always needs a while to settle in, but for now it doesn’t look like the Ruhr has just given birth to its next big phenomenon. Above all, we’ll have to see what happens to the lineup over the coming months.
The FKK Saunaclub Colosseum in Augsburg is back in business as well. Management changed at the end of April, and the official reopening party was held on May 2. There are a few differences compared with the past: the admission price has gone up with the introduction of food included in the entrance fee, although at first the quality of the food service still needed a little fine-tuning. In addition, the good old kino — the little cinema room — has disappeared to free up useful space. In short, the old ColA is back, but with a slightly different setup. For the time being, opinions are still fairly vague, so this is another one of those clubs that will be more interesting to revisit in a few months. And since it was the very first FKK Saunaclub I ever visited, I might organize a dedicated trip there soon to celebrate twenty years of this particular vice. We’ll see^^.
In Nuremberg the situation is even more curious. Since the beginning of August, the Palmas FKK has been closed for renovation work, especially in the wellness area, and in the meantime operations have moved to the nearby The Venice, basically the old Venezia brought back into service. At the beginning of August there were around ten Girls there, many of them already familiar faces from the Palmas, with the outdoor pool available but the wellness area still incomplete. By the end of the month, things already seemed to have improved considerably, with the sauna and outdoor area usable and much of the Palmas lineup still transferred there. The Venice is a little smaller and somewhat dated in places, but it is still perfectly usable. The apparent intention is to finish the renovation work at the Palmas and then go back to using both facilities. So we’ll see what happens as autumn arrives.
The Sharks in Darmstadt continues to be one of the biggest names on the German circuit, and this summer it once again received plenty of very positive feedback. It remains one of the few German clubs capable of maintaining a strong overall standard when it comes to the facilities, food and, above all, the average quality of the lineup. There are a few grumbles, though. Some Fellow Travelers report the impression that a number of the newer Girls work in a rather mechanical way and, above all, that there has been an increase in the tendency to constantly offer extras. It is that “base price plus a surcharge for absolutely everything” drift which, unfortunately, seems to be spreading almost everywhere. Despite this, Sharks remains one of the benchmark clubs in the Frankfurt area.
The Oase in Frankfurt, on the other hand, continues to generate very different impressions depending on who walks through the door and, probably, on the particular day they choose. The facilities remain one of its strongest points during the summer: the swimming pool, large outdoor area, whirlpool and wellness zone continue to receive very positive feedback. The lineup seems much more inconsistent. In short, Oase remains an excellent place to spend a relaxing day, but if your main goal is to be certain of finding a stable full of lively, good-quality fillies, you have to hope you pick the right day.
There is less news from the Babylon in Elsdorf, near Cologne, which continues simply being the Babylon without any major upheavals. Sauna, whirlpool, outdoor pool, erotic cinema and food service are all still there, and admission for men remains around 60 euros. There was no shortage of events or customers during the summer, as the outdoor area adds a lot to the club and makes this the best time of year to visit. On the management and facilities side, there do not appear to have been any changes worth mentioning.
Some people will probably continue calling it Paradise Stuttgart, but the club in Leinfelden-Echterdingen has long since been known as Luxor. The facilities and general setup have largely remained those of the old Paradise, while the name and ownership have changed. The club continues to operate normally with events and themed nights, and for September it advertised, among other things, Voltage Night and the Wasen Bierfest. There have been no substantial changes to the concept in recent months, so for now Luxor continues along the path it began following after the name change.
A more interesting change concerns the Luxe Inn in Dorsten, which since April has essentially split its identity in two. From Monday to Friday it continues to operate normally as a Saunaclub, while on Saturdays and Sundays there are no longer any commercial Girls present and the premises are used by Villa SeduXione for swinger events. Before the launch of the new project, the club remained closed from April 4 to 14. So this is not simply the occasional special night, but an entirely different use of the premises over the weekend. It is an unusual formula that might become interesting to some people if other clubs decide to experiment with something similar, although as a confirmed whoremonger I personally hope the two things remain clearly separate.
Meanwhile, in Austria, Wellcum and Andiamo continue to divide Carinthia between them.
The Wellcum in Hohenthurn has not undergone any particular revolution and simply continues to play in a league of its own when it comes to sheer numbers. On an ordinary weekday it averages around fifty Girls, with considerably higher numbers during parties and peaks that on certain occasions exceed 100. They may not be official statistics, but they give you an idea of the size of the place. Admission is around 90 euros, and the package remains the familiar one: enormous wellness area, buffet, events, hotel and, above all, a huge amount of choice. There is still some criticism from people who find the atmosphere more impersonal than it used to be and less easy to navigate for those who are not regular customers. Even so, Wellcum remains difficult to beat when what you want is simply the greatest possible number of Girls under one roof.
The Andiamo in Villach continues to play a different game. Although it now falls under the same ownership, the numbers are much smaller, roughly around thirty Girls, with a few more on weekends or during events. But that also makes it a more relaxed environment where interactions are easier. The admission price also remains lower, at around 70 euros.
So the choice remains fairly simple: Wellcum for quantity and action, Andiamo for a quieter, less overwhelming atmosphere.
At the Golden Time in Leonding, the last few weeks have been more eventful. The club naturally remains one of the key names in Austria, but several regular customers have recently been pointing out two things at the same time: increasing prices charged by the Girls and some important absences from the lineup. 100 euros for half an hour, even for fairly standard services, whereas until last year it was easier to stay around the 80-euro mark. Even more significant, however, is the lineup situation, which has lost several major players over the past month. In July things still seemed fairly good, so the feeling is that something changed mainly over the course of the summer. Golden Time remains an important club, but it will be interesting to see whether over the next few months it manages to bring in new faces capable of making up for those who have left.
The Saraya Club in Vienna (formerly FKK Funpalast) seems to have decided to experiment quite a bit over the past few months. In August, a new system was introduced for managing in-room services, some rooms are being fitted with air conditioning, a small fitness corner included in the admission price has appeared, and the return of the masseuse has also been announced. The most unusual development, however, is a project to add an escort service, potentially allowing some Girls to be booked outside the club as well. The main issue, however, remains the lineup. During August, some regulars spoke of around 10-20 Girls at Saraya compared with 30-50 at Golden Time. On the plus side, several users consider Saraya’s facilities even better than GT’s, but in the end they still tend to prefer the latter precisely because of the quantity and average quality of the Girls. Frequent requests for extras are also reported here, a practice that has unfortunately become widespread in many sex clubs. Management seems aware of the situation and has stated that it is looking for new faces through contacts and word of mouth. In short, Saraya is making plenty of moves, but it still has to fix the most important piece of the puzzle.
Still in Austria, we find a couple of establishments that are unknown to most people but potentially interesting and practically next door to one another: the Laufhaus Ilz, a small brothel that officially reopened on September 10, 2026 with an all-Asian lineup and advertised opening hours from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. As it is still getting up to speed, there is little to say about how it is really performing, and for the moment the lineup appears to be very small. So we’ll keep it on the radar and see what comes of it. Right next door is the Laufhaus Ladys, a bar with working girls and an attached brothel, a business that has already existed for years and has recently received a nice facelift. Renovation work and new management seem to be making a genuine effort. Improved interiors, a friendly welcome and a pleasant atmosphere. Nothing revolutionary, but it is one of those cases where a venue that seemed to have stalled manages to get back into the game thanks to a few well-executed improvements. Both of these Laufhäuser, along with the Ladys bar, are located in the industrial area of the small town of ILZ, in the countryside about 30 minutes from Graz.
And speaking of Graz, I can’t avoid mentioning the controversial Paradise, one of the most beautiful yet least frequented Saunaclubs in all of Austria, which has come close to bankruptcy several times, changing management at the very last minute. A real shame, because it could be one of the best, but perhaps because of the limited number of working girls or its relatively inconvenient location for visitors from out of town, it has never enjoyed any great success.
In Switzerland there have been no particular changes or noteworthy events:
The only relevant news among the Contact Bars concerns the Trocadero in Frauenfeld — a minor venue about half an hour by car from Zurich — which changed management during the summer. Initial comments from regular customers point to a clear improvement and a more attractive value-for-money proposition than before. Early impressions seem positive, but it remains one of those nightclubs with very high prices and is generally not especially appealing to anyone who does not regularly visit the area.
Anyway, I’d say there is already plenty going on, and with winter approaching we’ll once again enter the ideal season for keeping warm inside Saunaclubs in the company of young working girls. So there is really nothing left to do except go and see in person what has actually changed.
In the meantime, I’m still battling my usual case of Thailand withdrawal, and the sex clubs of the Old Continent make for a good distraction because, after all, “you never forget your first love.” Or so they say. ^^
As always, I invite you to read the Blog and the Reviews to stay up to date, and if you’re looking for a hotel there is a dedicated section, so if you book through Agoda I can thank you and have a beer to your health.
And that’s all for now. Until next time, dear Fellow Travelers!
