Nowthat the pleasant and warm Thai days have of given way to the cold winter and your friendly Neighborhood Editor is back in the boot and has brilliantly overcome even the symptoms of Thailanditis by replacing nostalgia with overwork(which sounds strange but apparently works^^), comes the February News. As usual I’m here to update you on the situation even if to be honest there is not much news worth mentioning, however there will be no shortage of new content here on TravelsForMen because I have several pages of notes taken and updated during the last trip to Bangkok, particularly regarding Nana Plaza, ready to be turned into Review Boards of Go Go Bars and the like.
For now, the following have been added:
-AngelWitch (which I have mentioned a thousand times but for reasons I ignore had not yet been officially included in reviews)
-Twister (now a Nana Plaza classic that is worth a visit every now and then)
-Wonderland (Labyboy’s Go Go Bar, of which very little can be found on the net despite being always crowded, lovers of the genre will appreciate, I hope)
These, along with the already present Rainbow4 and Rainbow5, Billboard, Butterflies, Spanky’s, and others on the way, will go a long way toward forming a more complete picture of Nana Plaza’s GoGo’s, so you can get your bearings better if you are not yet familiar with them or if this is your first time setting foot in Thailand’s largest adult amusement park . We will come back to this topic because I find it an interesting little project, and during my recent stays in Bangkok, I have realized that several traveling friends are struggling to find Venues that suit their tastes. Some people are not even clear on how a go bar works, in which regard I recommend reading the ever-useful“Anatomy of a Go Go Bar,” written a couple of years ago with precisely the novices in mind who may be bewildered by the large and varied offerings of these venues(I would personally mentor everyone if I could and gladly do so when I am in the area, but alas, I will have to wait a few more years before moving to the land of smiles for good).
On theEuropean front, price increases at almost all Fkk Sauna Clubs in Germany and Austria continue to create discontent among regulars and put off many possible new patrons from trying the experience. Fortunately, there are some small oases where one can get good service from pretty girls at popular prices, as in the case of Acapulco Gold(Ratingen, Düsseldorf), which in the face of a less than excellent but averagely good line-up keeps the costs of the classic half-hour at €50 and the Venue entrance at €30 with decent buffet service and an all in all enjoyable and quiet environment. Always in the area Düsseldorf, more precisely in Wuppertal, which is about a 30-minute drive away, there is another small thrombodrome with interesting features, the first being the fact that the traders are all South American Latinas, the second being the prices: 50€ the first half hour, 30€ the next, then 50 again and 30 again and so on, basically 80€ for 60 minutes all inclusive; the name of the Venue is SKY SaunaClub, a minor thrombodrome with more than a decade of activity but visited only recently as an alternative to the current situation of the Romanian monopoly in FKKs (you will find the review sheet in the dedicated section shortly).
In Frankfurt and its environs the situation is different, the “standard” rates for the half-hour are hovering around 100€ almost everywhere, with a little patience it is possible to find the one that accepts even lower figures(70/80€) and some offer the “all covered” service even for 50€, but these are now the exception. Fortunately, despite the old fifty is on the way out, there are Venues where all in all it is worth spending a day, one out of all is the Sharks Fkk which, in addition to being one of the largest and most comprehensive SaunaClubs where it is difficult to get bored between rooms, always offers a respectable line-up in beauty, average age and quantity (From 6:00 p.m. onward it’s easy to get to 60 Girls or more on weekends), the sour note is that the Venue is often very crowded and many of the “Top Girls” or supposed “Top Girls” tend to raise the rate to €150 (Unfortunately, there are those who are willing to pay such figures, and Germans on average have higher salaries, so this trend is not going away). At The Palace, on the other hand, you almost always get very good performances included in the 100€ base rate (excluding the usual extra services such as CIM and Anal) and a pretty good line-up of girls from 25 to 30 years old even if not at the level of the aforementioned Sharks. Similar situation also at the FKK Mainhattan, where out of an average of 20 Girls there are at least half noteworthy ones who offer good service for the usual 100€, which is not little but not too much either if the half hour is thirty minutes and the girl works properly. For those, on the other hand, who are passing through town and looking for solace at low prices there are still the timeless “Puffs” in the Red Light District, where by patiently searching you can occasionally unearth a pearl among the mussels that crowd the meretricious buildings in and around Taunusstrasse, provided you have the will and the strength to climb up and down hundreds of steps before finding the right chick, of course.
AnotherVenue reached and hit by the “100 Euro disease” is the well-known Fkk Samya in Cologne, where lately the old rate of 50€ x 30 minutes(still valid for some) is dying out and giving way to higher prices. Some continue to offer their services at a lower cost(after bargaining and various agreements) but the trend is increasingly that of the 100€ x 3o minutes will soon become the norm. Still, it remains a Venue to visit that despite everything is still quite frequented also by several Italian clients.
As forthe situation in Austria, more precisely in Carinthia, in and around Villach there is some confusion since the well-known FKK Andiamo came under the same ownership as Wellcum creating a real monopoly of border thrombodromes. The problem, however, lies not so much in the revival of Andiamo, which all in all is doing well, partly due to the former Wellcum manager who knows his stuff, as in the slow decline of the Wellcum itself, due again both to the lack of a capable manager and to the Romanian whores, who after raising the basic rates to 100€ have also taken the bad habit of not offering adequate performance in the room, which is prompting more and more customers to leave Hohenthurn in favor of Villach, in fact Andiamo may soon enter a new “golden age,” something that has not happened since 2013 when it began its slow and inexorable decline due in part to the opening of the Wellcum and permanently with the arrival of the (was) MarinaClub of Nova Gorica in conjunction with Austria’s new tax laws for tradeswomen, who moved to Slovenia doing brisk business in the new Venue until its undeserved closure a few years later (while the Marina Club was on the crest of a wave and “stealing” customers even from the Wellcum) due to deficient legislation that “strangely” (for more than three years) had not realized that that type of sauna-club was illegal in Slovenia, 0 most likely because other, more “shady” factors were involved, among which the very hand of the nearby Austrian competitors as some rumors suggested at the time cannot be ruled out, but we will never know for sure. The fact is that if you want to go back to Andiamo or if you have never set foot there before, this is probably the right time to do so. We’ll see how things evolve as the warm weather arrives, for now we’ll keep our eyes on Carinthia hoping not to see a general meltdown of the two thrombodromes most frequented by Italian Border Travelers.
I’ll close this update by answering those who asked me why I don’t write the detailed and substantial reports anymore like I used to do when I visited the “trombodromi” (hookup clubs) in Europe. The reason is quite simple: unfortunately, more than once, some “sons of dementia” have printed out the pages of my detailed reports (including all the interactions with the working girls) and then brought them along to show to the very same women, demanding exactly the same experience I had had with them. Madness. Idiocy. Deficiency. Pure stupidity.
Of course, the girls immediately recognized who the customer was since I’m a regular at those places. Not that it was necessarily a problem—in fact, some of them took it as an incentive to give me even better treatment for good publicity, I presume. But those who know me are aware that I refused various collaborations (and related earnings) with clubs that wanted sponsorships on the old trombodromo website because I wanted to remain impartial—and I still want that. Otherwise, all the reviews and this very site wouldn’t make much sense.
That’s why, with some exceptions, I avoid making complete and detailed reports about trips around Germany, Austria, and nearby areas, where these “geniuses” can cause trouble and awkward situations for me and the girls with their stupid actions. I had told some similar stories some time ago, then I made this decision, and for now it’s working.
It’s a different story for other destinations like Thailand, where I share everything without problems because the risk of situations like those mentioned doesn’t seem to exist.
That’s it—I hope I’ve satisfied the curiosity of those who asked. It’s possible I’ll talk about it again in the future, but for now, this is fine.
