TDAC – Thailand Digital Arrival Card: Everything You Need to Know for Entering Thailand

As ofMay 1, 2025, anyone wishing to enter Thailand-for tourism, business or other reasons-will have to fill out the new Thailand Digital Arrival Card, which takes the place of the traditional paper TM-6 form(temporarily suspended as of July 2, 2022 to simplify post-covid entry procedures). This is a procedure that can be completed entirely online starting 3 days before departure.

Although it may seem like an annoying procedure to some, it’s really no different from what used to be required just a few years ago — the only difference is that now you can do it comfortably from home, instead of during the flight or at the airport before passport control. So, relax: the process is quick, straightforward, and takes just a few minutes. With this short, detailed step-by-step guide, everything will be clear and easy.

Before you begin, ensure you have the following information at hand:

✔ Full name and address of your first place of stay in Thailand
✔ Return or Exit Flight Number

Where to Fill Out the Thailand Digital Arrival Card

On the homepage, you will find two blue buttons. Click on the one labeled “Arrival Card” to get started.

Important Note: Do not enable automatic translation to a different language; the site works properly only in English.

Step-by-Step Guide to Completing the Form

Passport information

Enter the data exactly as shown on your document:

Next, fill in the required personal information:

Travel and accommodation data

This section requires more attention, but is still easy to complete.

Arrival information

Date of Arrival: Expected Date of Arrival in Thailand
Country where you Boarded: Country of Departure (e.g., Italy)
Purpose of Travel: Purpose of Travel (select “HOLIDAY” if you are a tourist)
Mode of Travel: Mode of Transport (e.g., AIR)
Mode of Transport: Type of Transport (e.g., Commercial Flight)
Flight No./Vehicle No.: Arrival Flight Number

Departure information

Date of Departure: Expected Date of Departure from Thailand
Mode of Travel / Transport:Same format as the previous section
Flight No.: Departure Flight Number

Accommodation details

Type of Accommodation in Thailand: Choose from the dropdown menu (Hotel, Hostel, Apartment…)
Province: Province where the accommodation is located
District, Area / Sub-District, Sub-Area: Enter the exact administrative areas
Post Code: Automatically fills in if the previous data is correct
Address: Full address of the accommodation

All this information can be easily found on your hotel booking confirmation or by doing a quick search on Google Maps.

When finished, click on “Continue.”

Health Section

We are at the final stage. On this screen, you will be asked if you have stayed in other countries during the two weeks prior to your arrival in Thailand.

Please list the name of the countries where you stayed within two weeks before arrival: For example, if you are coming from Italy and did not have any long layovers in other countries, simply write Italy.

At the bottom of the page, you will find two buttons:

Add Other Travelers: To add another traveler (fill out one form for each person)
Preview: To view a summary of the information entered

Final review and submission

Carefully review each section on the preview screen. If you notice any errors, click on “Edit” to correct them.

Otherwise, proceed as follows:

Check the box “I have read and accepted the terms and conditions”
Enter a valid email address
Click on “Submit”

You will immediately receive a PDF copy of your Thailand Digital Arrival Card, which you can download directly from the site and receive by e-mail.

How to use the Digital Arrival Card upon arrival

The PDF document contains all the information you have entered along with a QR Code. Upon your arrival in Thailand, you can present it:

Directly from your smartphone or tablet
Or in hard copy, if you prefer to print the file

Immigration officers will scan the code to verify your information.

Bottom line:

It is also important to remember that a passport with at least 6 (six) months of validity remaining from the date of entry into the country is required.
For Italian, European, and citizens of other countries, a tourist visa is not required for stays not exceeding 60 days (extendable by an additional 30 days, for a total of 90 days).
