TDAC – Thailand Digital Arrival Card: Everything You Need to Know for Entering Thailand
EffectiveMay 1, 2025, anyone wishing to enter Thailand—for tourism, work, or other reasons—will be required to fill out the new Thailand Digital Arrival Card, which replaces the traditional paper TM-6 form (temporarily suspended as of July 2, 2022, to simplify post-COVID entry procedures). This process can be completed entirely online within the three days prior to arrival in Thailand, including the day of arrival.
Although it may seem like an annoying procedure to some, it’s really no different from what used to be required just a few years ago — the only difference is that now you can do it comfortably from home, instead of during the flight or at the airport before passport control. So, relax: the process is quick, straightforward, and takes just a few minutes. With this short, detailed step-by-step guide, everything will be clear and easy.

Bottom line:
Filling out the Thailand Digital Arrival Card is a mandatory step starting May 1, 2025, but it’s also a quick and easy process. Have your information ready in advance, go to the official website, and follow the step-by-step instructions.
It is also important to remember that a passport with at least 6 (six) months of validity remaining from the date of entry into the country is required.
For Italian, European, and citizens of other countries, a tourist visa is not required for stays not exceeding 60 days (extendable by an additional 30 days, for a total of 90 days).
Update as of August 1, 2026: The reduction of the visa-free stay period from 60 to 30 days has been announced and approved by the Thai government, but has not yet taken effect. The change therefore remains pending, awaiting the publication of the implementing regulations in the Royal Gazette and the corresponding effective date.
Until the new regulations officially take effect, travelers with Italian or European passports—or passports from other countries under the same conditions—may continue to follow the current 60-day limit.
It is always advisable to check for any official updates before departure, as the duration of the visa exemption may change following the implementation of new measures.
