Venue: Wonderland is a small Go Go Bar in Nana Plaza.
Located on the first floor (or the second if you’re Thai^^), overlooking the mezzanine balcony right between Rainbow 5 and Random II, there’s this small venue called Wonderland. From the outside, you can already tell it’s a compact place—there are two curtains at the entrance and a sign on the adjacent wall (I haven’t measured it, but by eye it’s about 4 or 5 meters in total).
Once inside, it becomes absolutely clear that the space is really small: there’s a central catwalk running almost the full length of the bar, with two rows of small couches on either side. At the back, there’s the bar and a restroom. What sets Wonderland apart from most other Go Go Bars in Nana is the lighting—bright and leaning toward white. Generally, there are no dim or shadowy areas inside; it’s all light and mirrors on the walls, which make the place appear even brighter and less claustrophobic than it actually is.

Girls: The real peculiarity of Wonderland is that there are no “girls”—or rather, there are, but they are all…
…transgender women (commonly referred to in Thailand as “ladyboys”). This is what truly distinguishes Wonderland from many other Go Go Bars in Nana Plaza. The physical beauty of some of them is truly impressive—clearly a cut above most of the girls working in Nana Plaza, and without a doubt among the best ladyboys you can find around. So much so that they can easily fool less experienced travelers and even make the more seasoned ones hesitate.
Of course, not all of them are at the same level—some still have slightly more masculine features than others—but overall, the lineup is well above average. There’s a slight tendency to be a bit pushy and eager to secure a barfine, but aside from a few exceptions…” insistent glances (which can be stressful for some and pleasantly playful for others) the attitude is generally friendly, and for those who don’t mind buying a couple of drinks, it becomes quite enjoyable to stick around for a while and take in the surroundings.”

The quality is quite high, and that comes at a cost. Some negotiation might be possible, but with the “top” performers it’s usually difficult to get a discount, as the venue is almost always busy and they don’t lack work.

Note: Wonderland is a Ladyboy Go Go Bar and one of the busiest in Nana Plaza—partly because it’s small and fills up quickly, but also thanks to a line-up that’s especially appealing to fans of the genre, particularly those interested in “post-op ladyboys.”
Opened in 2022 after the end of the COVID period (it was previously known as Stockings), Wonderland doesn’t offer anything particularly unique, but it’s appreciated precisely because it’s compact and not overwhelming. Once inside, you’re in an environment where you can see everything that’s happening in the room from wherever you’re sitting. Some guests find the lack of privacy off-putting, while others actually enjoy the openness.
The majority of the clientele is Asian, but if you’re European you won’t be alone—and as long as you’re not too stingy, you’ll be welcomed with open arms (and legs) without any problem. That said, the staff will sometimes close the curtains when the place is full (or when a group of Indian tourists walks by—but that’s another story ^^).
Personally, I found myself ringing in midnight on December 31st, 2024 at Wonderland, in the company of one of the most attractive ladies (formerly boys) I’ve ever seen. And exactly one year earlier—again on New Year’s Eve—I spent almost two hours inside with another fun and playful “girl” who was nearly flawless in appearance and, let’s say, very stimulating.

In Short: Putting personal experiences aside, Wonderland isn’t exactly the kind of place where you’d spend an entire evening. Space is limited, and if you stay long enough, the bill can add up quickly—lady drinks are requested quite frequently, and it’s a common trend there.
However, if you’re just passing through and don’t mind the “high-quality, post-op ladyboy” scene, it’s definitely worth stepping inside—or letting yourself be pulled in if someone at the entrance catches your eye. Worst case? You’ll have a beer and a laugh. More likely, though, you’ll find yourself wondering how someone who used to have the same equipment as you can now look so incredibly attractive ^^.
In the end, prices aren’t exactly cheap—but the quality is there. The rest is up to free will and personal taste.
