Venue: AngelWitch is located on the first (or intermediate) floor of Nana Plaza and is easily recognizable by the sign featuring the logo of an angelic witch flying on a broomstick. The predominant colors are red and black, from the signage to the décor, both inside and outside.
Inside, AngelWitch is neither too big nor too small; it fits into the mid-size category when it comes to space. While not as massive as giants like Billboard or Butterflies, it has two “bleacher-style” seating sections with three rows of sofas running the length of the room, as well as on either side of the stage/walkway that stretches from the entrance all the way to the bar at the back of the room. The mirrors on the walls also help create the illusion of a larger space.
The overall atmosphere is less “clubby” than other Go Go bars, and the music is predominantly “Rock/Metal.” This is one of the standout features of AngelWitch, setting it apart from others with the numerous performances and choreographed routines on stage, which take place at regular intervals. This breaks up the monotony of simply watching girls on the stage, as can sometimes happen in other venues.
The seating area in front of the bleachers, where the sofas are, is not excessively illuminated, which is actually a good thing as it provides more privacy and makes it easier to enjoy yourself with the girls. The stage, on the other hand, is always well-lit and clearly visible from both sides of the room. While there are stools scattered around, the standing area is quite limited, essentially serving as a corridor around the stage. However, there are still plenty of seating options that are reasonably comfortable.
To the right near the entrance, in an elevated position, is the DJ booth. At the opposite corner at the back of the room, you’ll find the bathrooms as well as the entrance to the girls’ changing rooms.
Overall, it’s a simple venue with minimal frills but an enjoyable atmosphere, offering a slightly different vibe from the usual Go Go bars.

Girls: The quality of the girls at AngelWitch is quite variable. On average, there aren’t many “great beauties,” but it’s almost always possible to find some “pearls” that have just arrived, making them relatively young and “fresh” to the business. The only downside is that many of them speak very little English, so they may not be the best choice if you’re looking for someone to spend the evening with at the bar. However, for a Short Time, they can be quite satisfying.
There are also some regular girls who, while not as aesthetically pleasing as some of the newer arrivals, can still be enjoyable and satisfying in a hotel room. They also make for great company if you’re looking to hang out and have fun at AngelWitch.
In terms of numbers, there are typically about 15 to 20 girls on average, although this can fluctuate depending on the day.

Prices: Drink and Lady Drink prices are in line with the competition. – 800 Baht Barfine. Short Time 3000 Baht. Long Time 5000 Baht, obviously bargainable depending on the situation and the Girl chosen, let’s say there is some flexibility considering the far from excellent line up.

Opening hours: Daily from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Restaurant/Bar: Classic Go Go Bar menu, Beers, Tequila, Rum, Whiskey and everything else.

Note: AngelWitch is one of the oldest Go-Go Bars in Nana Plaza, once considered by many to be the best in the area with a line-up of girls that could make anyone’s head spin. This, combined with its unique “rock” vibe, made for a winning formula.
Over time, however, with the rise of more fashionable and larger Go-Go bars, offering better girl selections and more luxurious environments, AngelWitch slowly lost its shine, eventually becoming more of a historical relic in the massive playground that is Nana Plaza.
Up until 2019, despite being nicknamed “The Hut” by some travelers due to its darker and less modern setting compared to other venues, it was still a solid option in terms of girls and had a good selection. But after the closures due to the COVID pandemic, it took a big hit, and as of today, it is certainly no longer considered “top-tier.”
That being said, for those who want to spend some time listening to music that’s different from the usual “tunz tunz tunz” and enjoy the occasional show on stage, AngelWitch can still be a fun, albeit nostalgic, choice (sometimes cute or even exciting, other times ridiculous, and at other moments, just plain fun)The Angel/Tugurio is always a place to pop in and take a look, maybe even where you’ll find an unexpected “gem” to take back to your hotel after a relaxed beer, while listening to Nirvana, Kiss, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, and other rock legends handpicked by that quirky DJ who has become part of the decor, but at least he has good taste in music.

In short: When you’re passing through Nana Plaza, stop in front of Angel Witch, peek beyond the curtains, and if something catches your eye, grab a beer and take a seat. If not, keep moving to the next Go Go and try again the following night. But sooner or later, you’ll have to step in because despite everything, Angel Witch is truly one of a kind ^^.
