Cuba, and especially Havana (San Cristóbal de La Habana, like the famous cigar brand named after the city’s official name, which for convenience everyone simply calls La Habana), has always been a very popular and talked-about destination for travelers seeking pleasant female companionship—and not only that, because the city offers many other interesting things to discover. But here and now, I won’t be talking about classic cars or the squares, nor about rum or sunsets. Let’s see instead what the city offers and which places are best suited for travelers passing through.
Let’s start by saying that the best areas to stay are probably the neighborhoods of Vedado and Miramar. Among the many options available, there is the famous Hotel NH Capri, a bit dated but in a good location. Just a little further on is the historic Hotel Nacional, a five-star hotel with a panoramic view of the Malecón, and the Hotel Copacabana, overlooking the sea in the Miramar Playa area. Of course, there are many hotels for every budget in the area, but another very economical and widely used option is the Casas Particulares, which are basically the equivalent of a bed and breakfast—that is, a private home renting out rooms (or sometimes the entire house). Without a doubt, it’s a great way to save money and to immerse yourself more deeply in Cuban life.
Walking around the city, even for those who are no longer young but in their forties, it’s not uncommon to receive admiring glances from young women who in countries like Italy would usually tend to ignore you. Even simply meeting local girls is not a pipe dream but rather quite normal. However, if we’re talking about nightclubs and places where you can meet the local female scene, it’s best to visit the various discos and clubs on Calle 23, where it’s easy to find some freelancer ladies looking for clients.
The Johnny Club, located on the opposite side of the Almendares River at the end of the Malecón near the Miramar area, is a nice place to spend the evening for those looking for a bit of disco chaos, though it’s more of a “posh” spot and prices are quite high. Other interesting venues include the Cuba Art Factory, a factory converted into a cultural space where among art, music, and drinks, it’s not difficult to find beautiful girls who don’t mind earning extra money by accompanying the more generous tourists.
In general, the area of Habana Vieja and the zone around the Capitolio Nacional de Cuba are frequented even during the day by young ladies willing to entertain tourists, naturally for a proper compensation.
Another chance to find good company in Havana is to spend a day at the beach, but for that you have to move to the beaches in the northeast direction: Playa Mar Azul, Beach Santa Maria del Mar, Playas del este, and Playa Megano are beaches that can be reached in about half an hour by taking the Bus from Vedado; you may not necessarily get anywhere but it’s worth a ride, and maybe you’ll find some more uninhibited tourists to make friends with.
In general, the advice is to enjoy the city, and as you wander around here and there, you will find that it’s not at all difficult to interact with local girls who, more often than one might think, will be willing to get to know you—whether to become your girlfriend for the day or simply to earn a bit of money as Freelancer; in any case, with the equivalent of around a hundred euros or even less, it is possible to find good company who will accompany you to your accommodation for a few hours of intimacy without many limits, often with the feeling of being with a girlfriend rather than a sex worker more or less occasional.
Anyway, Havana is a fairly good destination for a vacation; the city has a unique atmosphere, and Cuban girls can be very passionate and fun. However, all things considered, it’s not a very cheap city, and there are better destinations when it comes to pure entertainment for men. In any case, by paying the right price, you can find everything, and tourists are well regarded, but for those seeking the very best, it’s necessary to make connections and spend significant amounts. All things considered, it remains a place worth visiting, with the right precautions but without too many worries.
