Venue: FKK ROM is located in Altheim (a 30-minute drive from Frankfurt Airport), a small village with around 3,000 inhabitants in the municipality of Münster (not to be confused with the larger city of the same name north of Dortmund, about 300 km away).
The venue is a former hotel converted into an FKK sauna club, partly a classic-style villa and partly a modern building. The atmosphere is fairly elegant but with that classic German sauna club kitsch touch. There is a large room with sofas and various types of loungers, with decor blending modern and classic styles, a rather soft atmosphere, and lighting leaning towards purple.
The changing room offers plenty of lockers and separate safety deposit boxes. The wellness area includes a relaxation zone in addition to the sauna and whirlpool. The rooms are cozy and sufficiently spacious.
The dining room is minimalistic but overlooks the garden. Of course, there’s also the indispensable Kino (private cinema). The outdoor area is large, pleasant in the afternoon, and quite atmospheric at night. There’s a nice garden equipped with sunbeds and more, plus a tiled area where the swimming pool is located.
Girls: On average, about twenty girls from various backgrounds with generally good attitudes. There is some turnover, but many have been at ROM for years. Overall, a decent lineup—nothing exceptional, but nothing to complain about either.
Prices: There are two entrance fee options: The basic rate of 35 euros includes one towel and the buffet (+5 euros for a bathrobe, +3 euros for an additional towel). The 45-euro rate includes towels, buffet, bathrobe, and non-alcoholic drinks. (On Fridays and Saturdays after 7 PM, the 35-euro rate is not available.)
A standard half-hour session in a room with a girl costs 50 euros (some ask for 70 euros for 30 minutes and 100 euros for 60 minutes).
In any case, it’s always best to agree on the services with the girl beforehand to avoid surprises and misunderstandings.
Opening Hours: Open daily from 12:00 PM to 3:00 AM — Fridays and Saturdays from 12:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
Restaurant/Bar: Buffet-style food. Outdoor grills during the summer season.
Note: FKK ROM opened its doors on September 4, 2009, and has been in operation for over 15 years. It has been renovated and updated several times (most recently in 2025, especially the outdoor area). It is a modern FKK sauna club that still maintains reasonable prices. The girls’ rates never exceed 70 euros for a half-hour session and often stick to the 50 euros “recommended” by the venue. It’s important to remember that the workers at these clubs are independent professionals and technically free to set their own prices, although in practice, they tend to have similar rates within the same venue.
One of the club’s highlights is the outdoor area with a swimming pool, which makes it a great place to spend an entire day relaxing during the summer months. The girls don’t pressure or rush you, the service is generally good, and it includes all the basic services (no extra charges for FK or BJJ as happens in many other clubs, especially in Austria, but not only there).
Besides this, ROM is rarely overcrowded despite having a steady number of regular customers.
In short: If you’re looking for a nice spot for a getaway away from the usual destinations near Frankfurt, this sauna club is a great alternative—especially during the warm season, when it’s enjoyable to relax under the moonlight between sessions, sometimes until five in the morning.
